Lecturer in Engineering Management (Permanent)

About the role

The School of Engineering at the University of Galway seeks a permanent Lecturer in Engineering Management. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community, contributing to teaching, research and industry collaboration in engineering management and related fields.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering management, operational excellence, quality engineering and related subjects.
• Develop and supervise research projects, securing external funding where possible.
• Engage with industry partners to align curriculum with current practice and regulatory standards.
• Participate in departmental service, including curriculum development and academic committees.

Required profile

• PhD in Engineering Management, Industrial/Manufacturing/Software Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Significant research experience with a strong publication record.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas such as operational excellence, data‑driven performance improvement, quality engineering or regulatory compliance.
