Logistics Specialist

About the role

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Logistics Specialist to plan and execute global shipments of commercial goods, clinical supplies, and other materials. The role ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) while supporting patient‑centric business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute air, road, and sea shipments across commercial and clinical supply chains.
• Manage the end‑to‑end shipment lifecycle, including booking, documentation, tracking, and delivery confirmation.
• Prepare and review import/export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin) to ensure customs compliance.
• Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory authorities to resolve clearance issues.
• Monitor shipment progress against service level agreements and proactively address delays or risks.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in SAP and electronic quality management systems (eQMS) to meet GxP and audit standards.
• Support temperature‑controlled and dangerous‑goods shipments, ensuring proper classification and handling.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement) and external partners.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, cost optimisation, and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Experience in global logistics, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biopharma sector.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, Incoterms, export controls, and sanctions.
• Familiarity with GMP/GDP requirements and audit readiness.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
