Machine Learning Developer – Freelance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Developer to join Mindrift’s freelance network. You will create and validate challenging computational STEM problems that simulate real scientific workflows, ensuring they are solvable only with advanced Python‑based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational problems that reflect real‑world scientific processes.
• Develop Python programming tasks that are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually.
• Construct problems that require multi‑step reasoning and creative problem‑solving.
• Verify solutions using standard Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit‑learn, etc.).
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on machine‑learning experience with demonstrable business impact.
• Portfolio of completed projects or publications showcasing real‑world problem solving.
• Strong written English (C1+).

Required skills

• Python programming for data science.
• NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit‑learn, statsmodels.
• SQL and database operations.
• GenAI technologies – LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, prompt engineering, vector databases.
• MLOps practices and model deployment workflows.
• Frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain.

What we offer
