Maintenance Technician – Food Production

About the role

Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their Engineering team. You will be responsible for keeping production and packaging equipment running reliably, minimizing downtime and supporting continuous‑improvement projects in a modern food‑processing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Maintain machinery, motors, drives, sensors, conveyors and other production equipment.
• Support machinery installations, upgrades and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Complete maintenance records and assist with spare‑parts management.
• Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Maintenance or a related discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing, food production or industrial engineering environments.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
