Major Account Manager – Private Sector

About the role

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a high‑energy Major Account Manager to lead the expansion of its unified cybersecurity platform in Ireland. This remote, hunter‑focused position targets "Dark Apex" accounts with zero historical revenue, driving net‑new logo acquisition and displacing legacy competitors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and aggressively prospect untapped accounts, converting them into active pipeline opportunities.
• Execute the "Platformisation" strategy to move customers from fragmented point products to Palo Alto’s integrated security suite (Strata, Cortex, Prisma Cloud).
• Apply the MEDDPICC framework to qualify large‑scale deals and ensure a predictable sales cycle.
• Lead executive outreach initiatives, establishing peer‑to‑peer relationships with C‑suite stakeholders.
• Develop and scale a 3x‑4x pipeline in high‑volume, whitespace segments through programmatic, reference‑based selling.

Required profile

• Proven hunter experience with a strong track record in net‑new logo acquisition within the cybersecurity industry.
• Demonstrated ability to win competitive bake‑offs and unseat established incumbents.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with senior executives.
