Management Accountant

About the role
Our client, a growing manufacturing business in County Westmeath, is creating a Management Accountant position to strengthen financial reporting and commercial decision‑making. The role will focus on job costing, profitability analysis and supporting senior leadership with accurate financial insights.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain job costing processes to monitor actual costs and project profitability.
- Analyse variances between quoted and actual performance, highlighting margin improvement opportunities.
- Produce regular profitability, cost‑control and management reports for senior leaders.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis for business planning.
- Strengthen financial controls, cost allocation and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to ensure pricing reflects true project costs and target margins.
Required profile
- Part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering or other project‑based environments.
- Strong background in management accounting, job costing and project accounting.
- Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel.
