Management Accountant

About the role

The Management Accountant will join Global Fresh Exotics in Ashbourne, supporting the finance function with full‑time, on‑site responsibilities. You will prepare and analyse management accounts, variance reports and provide financial insight to drive business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial reports, management accounts and variance analyses.
• Oversee accruals, pre‑payments and maintain accurate general‑ledger entries.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and month‑end / year‑end close processes.
• Monitor costs, margins and inventory‑related financials, collaborating with operational and commercial teams.
• Support ERP improvements, process automation and continuous enhancement of financial controls.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, balance‑sheet reconciliations and stock valuation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of finance experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food production.
• Strong knowledge of transactional finance, month‑end close, financial controls, inventory accounting and management reporting.
• Proven ability to work independently with strong analytical and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
