Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly (Medical Devices)

About the role

Join Freudenberg Medical’s fast‑growing team in Carrick‑on‑Shannon as a Manufacturing Engineer focused on assembly. You will work hands‑on to improve the production of life‑changing medical devices, collaborating with engineers, technicians and operators.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate process issues, non‑conforming materials and customer feedback.
• Own and optimise assembly processes while maintaining world‑class quality standards.
• Design and refine manufacturing layouts and workflows for safety and efficiency.
• Support quality and continuous‑improvement projects such as MRB, CAPA and Lean initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D and New Product Introduction teams on early‑stage process design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Polymer, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Experience or strong exposure to cleanroom manufacturing, validation and process control.
• Understanding of Lean and continuous‑improvement principles, or willingness to develop them.
• Students, recent graduates or apprentices are welcome and will be paired with a mentor.
