Manufacturing Engineer (Hybrid) – Galway

About the role

Our client, a leading medical‑devices manufacturer based in Galway, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a hybrid‑working team. The role focuses on supporting equipment, processes and materials to meet production targets while driving continuous improvement across automated manufacturing lines.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce, validate and qualify new automated equipment and line moves.
• Analyse process, product and material specifications to meet performance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve production and engineering issues.
• Transfer and validate equipment between clean rooms.
• Lead continuous‑improvement and yield‑analysis projects using Lean tools.
• Develop and update process procedures and validation documentation.
• Assess environmental impact of new equipment, processes and chemicals.
• Provide technical guidance to associate engineers and technicians.

Required profile

• NFQ Level 8 degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Science, Biomedical, Mechanical, Manufacturing).
• 2–5 years of engineering experience, preferably in the medical‑device or other highly regulated industry.
• Project‑management experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of validation techniques and regulatory requirements.
