Marketing Group Manager – Editorial Strategist & Thought Leadership Lead

About the role

The Marketing Group Manager will act as the enterprise editorial strategist, creating flagship thought‑leadership content that positions Citi as an industry pioneer. You will translate complex financial and technology topics into compelling narratives that resonate with peers, clients, and the media.

Key responsibilities

• Develop flagship content that establishes Citi’s authority on critical industry topics, emerging trends, and strategic priorities.
• Identify and articulate emerging themes, market shifts, and strategic insights to showcase Citi as a forward‑thinking leader.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts across businesses to distill complex concepts into accessible narratives.
• Establish and enforce editorial standards across all product and business‑unit content for consistency, quality, and brand alignment.
• Create derivative assets (infographics, executive briefs, social content, video scripts, data visualizations) to enable marketing activation across channels.
• Leverage digital fluency, content performance metrics, SEO, and emerging platforms to maximize reach and impact.
• Build consensus among diverse stakeholders with competing priorities.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in content creation, journalism, strategic communications, or related fields.
• Proven track record of producing thought‑leadership content that shapes industry conversations and drives measurable business impact.
• Demonstrated editorial leadership across multiple business units, products, or publications.
• Background in financial services, technology, consulting, or similarly complex industries is preferred.
