Marketing & Social Media Assistant (Part-Time)

About the role

We are looking for a vibrant and creative Marketing & Social Media Assistant to support our marketing efforts at SPAR Eastgate in Little Island, Cork. This part‑time position offers flexible hours ideal for a marketing student or anyone seeking additional experience in content creation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating, scheduling and posting content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other platforms.
• Help develop and implement digital marketing campaigns to boost engagement and brand awareness.
• Collaborate with the team to design graphics, edit videos and produce content that aligns with the SPAR Eastgate brand.
• Monitor social media performance, report insights and suggest improvements.
• Support the coordination of promotions, events and in‑store activations to increase foot traffic.
• Manage social media interactions, responding to customer inquiries and comments promptly.
• Provide general administrative support for marketing activities as needed.

Required profile

• A passion for marketing and social media with a creative flair and strong attention to detail.
• Experience or studies in marketing, communications or a related field (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools such as Canva or Adobe Spark.
