Member of Technical Staff – Business Systems

About the role

Qumulo is looking for a Member of Technical Staff to own and operate its consumption metering and marketplace submission pipelines. You will run the system in production, improve its reliability, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Cork and Seattle.

Key responsibilities

• Take over the Python‑based ingestion and marketplace submission pipelines on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including Lambda, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, and Azure Functions.
• Run the system in production from day one, handling code review, CI/CD, deployment, incident response and on‑call rotation.
• Build alerting, retries, idempotency and self‑recovery mechanisms to ensure missed submissions are resolved automatically.
• Write runbooks and act as the risk steward for revenue correctness, surfacing and mitigating operational risks.
• Partner with Product to turn metering data into customer‑facing insights such as live balances and burn‑rate forecasts.

Required profile

• At least four years of professional software engineering experience, with ownership of a production‑critical system.
• Hands‑on experience with serverless, event‑driven architectures on at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Proven ability to implement idempotency, retries and robust alerting in production.
• Strong communication skills to translate requirements between Finance, Sales Operations, Customer Success and engineering.
