Motor Mechanic Apprentice – 4-Year Programme

About the role

Join Auto Boland’s motor‑industry team as an Apprentice Technician. Over a four‑year programme you will split your time between hands‑on work in a dealership workshop and classroom training, gaining the skills required to become a qualified motor mechanic.

Key responsibilities

• Assist master technicians with vehicle inspections, diagnostics and repairs.
• Participate in structured classroom sessions covering motor‑mechanics theory and practical techniques.
• Follow health, safety and quality standards while working on a range of premium brands such as Audi, Renault and Dacia.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and training progress.

Required profile

• Leaving Certificate with Mathematics.
• Full or learner’s driver’s licence (test booked if learner).
• Commitment to a four‑year apprenticeship combining on‑the‑job and off‑the‑job learning.
• Strong motivation, attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively.
• Genuine passion for the motor industry.

Required skills

• Motor mechanics knowledge (as covered by QQI Level 6 qualification).
