Night Porter – Hotel Hospitality Role

About the role

We are seeking a Night Porter to join the team at RIU Plaza The Gresham Dublin. The role involves ensuring guest comfort and safety during the night shift while maintaining the high standards of our four‑star hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and transport luggage to rooms.
• Monitor the hotel entrance and remain vigilant for security concerns.
• Assist with guest queries and provide information.
• Perform regular checks and cleaning of public toilets and hotel areas.
• Conduct floor walks, inspect fire exits and perimeter, and report any irregularities.
• Handle lost property, cash, stock and equipment securely according to policy.
• Support the Accommodation Department, including guest check‑in/out when trained.
• Assist in training new staff members and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in a similar hospitality or porter role.
• Legal right to work 40 hours per week in Ireland.
• Hard‑working, reliable and able to work independently during night hours.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow security and safety protocols.
