Online IAS Economics Teacher (Remote, Part‑time)

About the role

This remote, part‑time position is for experienced educators who will deliver one‑on‑one IAS Economics lessons to motivated secondary students. The role is based in Ireland but operates on Australian Eastern Standard Time, offering flexible hours while supporting learners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, personalized IAS Economics lessons aligned with Cambridge, Edexcel or A‑Level curricula.
• Adapt teaching methods and digital resources to each student’s learning style and goals.
• Assess performance regularly, provide feedback, and adjust lesson plans.
• Prepare schedules, lesson plans, homework, assessments and examination materials.
• Facilitate interactive online classes using virtual teaching platforms.
• Manage course content and assessments within the learning management system.
• Contribute to the development of educational resources for current and future students.
• Maintain availability for scheduled one‑hour sessions between 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM AEST, Monday‑Friday.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of classroom teaching experience at Level/Form 7‑13.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of Cambridge, Edexcel or A‑Level Economics curricula and exam standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with online teaching platforms and virtual instruction.
• Strong organizational and classroom‑management skills in an online environment.
• Teaching qualification (license, degree in education or postgraduate certification) preferred.
• Previous online teaching experience is an advantage.
