Operations Manager – Sales & Distribution

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead our sales and distribution warehouse. You will own daily warehouse activities, collaborate with senior leadership, and drive process improvements in a fast‑growing SME environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching.
• Coordinate incoming deliveries, optimise warehouse layout, and oversee stock transfers and regular stocktakes.
• Work closely with the Sales & Operations Director to support strategic growth through staff scheduling and business process improvement.
• Lead a small, motivated team, fostering a positive, quality‑focused work environment.
• Operate and maintain WMS/ERP systems, monitor KPIs, and liaise with sales and office teams.
• Support HR activities such as training and development.
• Participate directly in warehouse tasks, handling queries, inventory control, quality assurance, and problem resolution.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably within an SME distribution setting.
• Proven leadership ability to inspire, develop, and motivate small teams.
• Commercial mindset with understanding of margins and sales cycles.
• Hands‑on attitude, willing to perform floor tasks including forklift operation and heavy lifting.
• Degree level 8 (Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent.
• High engagement, resilience, adaptability, physical stamina, and strong focus on efficiency and detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite.
• Forklift operation.
