About the role

Specsavers in Market Green, Co. Cork is seeking a qualified Optometrist to join a friendly, community‑focused team. You will deliver high‑quality sight tests and ensure an excellent patient experience in a modern retail eye‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and sight tests for customers.
• Utilise the latest clinical technology, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), to diagnose and manage eye conditions.
• Provide professional advice on eyewear and vision correction solutions.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and uphold the store’s reputation for care.
• Participate in continuous professional development and support CPD activities.

Required profile

• Qualified and CORU‑registered Optometrist.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for serving the local community.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering both clinical excellence and outstanding customer care.

• Salary up to €75,000 per year, dependent on experience.
