Paediatrics Registrar – 1‑Year Position in Kerry

About the role

This is a one‑year fixed‑term appointment as a Registrar in Paediatrics at University Hospital, Kerry, commencing on 13 July 2026. The role offers the opportunity to deliver specialist paediatric care within a leading Irish teaching hospital while benefiting from dedicated recruitment support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical assessment and management of paediatric in‑patients.
• Participate in daily ward rounds, multidisciplinary meetings and on‑call duties.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical students.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to audit and quality improvement projects.
• Engage in teaching activities and departmental training sessions.

Required profile

• Valid IMC (Irish Medical Council) registration.
• Right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
• Minimum six months of medical experience in a similar paediatric role within the UK or Ireland.
• Medical degree and full GMC/IMC licensure.
