Part Qualified Accountant

About the role

Our client, a well‑established three‑partner chartered accountancy firm in County Meath, is seeking a Part Qualified Accountant to join their account services team. You will work on a variety of audit and non‑audit engagements for a diverse client base, supporting the preparation of statutory and management accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end non‑audit company accounts and accompanying working papers.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet items including VAT, payroll, leases, hire purchases and fixed assets.
• Post journals to accounting software and assist with management accounts preparation.
• Produce statutory financial statements, follow checklists and meet agreed deadlines.
• Support year‑end close‑out, journal entries and corporation tax return preparation.
• Liaise confidently with clients via phone and written correspondence.
• Assist the manager on special client assignments.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACA/ACCA accountant.
• Minimum 2 + years of general accounting practice experience.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.

• Salary €30,000‑€38,000 per year plus 10 % bonus.
