Tax Manager – SME & Owner‑Managed Business Focus

About the role

This Tax Manager position is with a well‑established accountancy practice operating across multiple locations in Ireland. You will work closely with the Tax Partner and a growing tax team, delivering advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of SME and owner‑managed business clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and advisory services for SME and owner‑managed clients.
• Lead, mentor and support the tax team, overseeing workflow, technical queries and staff development.
• Collaborate with the Tax Partner on client engagements, tax planning projects and client meetings.
• Oversee departmental WIP, billing and build strong client relationships.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to the practice’s growth.

Required profile

• Qualified Tax Advisor qualification.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of Irish tax legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with SME and owner‑managed business clients.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
