Permanent Registrar – Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Letterkenny

About the role

This permanent position is for a Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Letterkenny University Hospital. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering maternity and women's health services across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to in‑patients, out‑patients and labour ward patients.
• Supervise junior doctors and medical students during clinical duties.
• Participate in on‑call rotas and emergency obstetric interventions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to audit and research activities.
• Collaborate with nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals to ensure high‑quality patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Valid IMC registration.
• Right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
• Minimum six months experience in an obstetrics and gynaecology role within the UK or Ireland.
