Pharmacy Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join Beacon Pharmacy at Beacon Mall in Dublin 18. The role supports the Pharmacist in delivering safe and efficient dispensing services while providing excellent customer care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist in accurately dispensing prescription and over‑the‑counter medications.
• Prepare, label and verify prescriptions in line with Irish pharmacy legislation.
• Provide patients with advice on medication use within the scope of practice.
• Maintain patient records, pharmacy documentation and operate the pharmacy computer system.
• Manage stock control, including ordering, receiving, rotation and minimising waste.
• Support health‑promotion initiatives and public‑health campaigns as directed.
• Handle cash transactions, respond to customer queries and perform routine administrative tasks.
• Ensure a clean, safe and organised work environment and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification.
• Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting (preferred).
• Strong numerical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pharmacy legislation and ethical practice.
• Understanding of medicines, their uses and potential side effects.
