Principal Android Developer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Principal Android Engineer to lead the technical direction of our mobile platform. Based in Dublin, you will shape long‑term architecture, define engineering standards and work closely with multiple product teams to ensure high‑quality, scalable Android solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the Android platform and influence architectural decisions for several teams.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Design large‑scale, modular applications that meet performance, reliability, security and maintainability goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical direction with business objectives.
• Drive CI/CD adoption, automated testing and modern Android development practices.

Required profile

• Extensive Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Proven track record at Principal, Staff or Architect level.
• Strong expertise in mobile architecture for large, modular apps.
• Experience influencing technical direction across multiple teams.
• Deep understanding of scalability, performance, reliability, security and maintainability.
• Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders.
