About the role
The Procurement Category Coordinator will support Ornua’s Member Relations & Planning team by managing the purchase and supply planning of dairy powders such as butter and milk powders. Based in Dublin, the role ensures a reliable supply chain and contributes to the commercial success of Ornua’s ingredient business.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the commercial purchasing process for dairy powder categories with Irish dairy processor members.
- Define monthly ingredient sales availability and provide input to commercial strategy, sales and pricing tactics.
- Ensure volume targets are met while managing risks and maintaining stable supply and pricing for key customers.
- Act as the primary liaison between Ornua’s ingredient sales teams and member suppliers, delivering regular market and commercial insights.
- Schedule and attend member and customer meetings in collaboration with sales teams.
- Negotiate back‑to‑back purchases with members and develop monthly production plans.
Required profile
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing or supply planning within the dairy or broader food sector.
- Strong analytical ability to translate market data into actionable purchasing decisions.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with internal teams and external members.
