Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will provide global support to Manufacturing Operations categories, focusing on indirect procurement. You will use deep technical knowledge of the categories, manage stakeholders and suppliers, and lead cost‑reduction initiatives to ensure quality products and services are delivered on time for Vantive’s business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑depth spend and market analysis on targeted spend areas.
• Support the Senior Category Manager in developing and executing annual savings plans.
• Develop RFI/RFP documents and lead negotiations to achieve short‑ and long‑term savings targets.
• Lead or support cross‑functional teams on complex sourcing projects.
• Register project pipelines in sourcing tools and provide regular status and benefit reporting.
• Communicate professionally with senior management and cross‑functional teams to secure project buy‑in.
• Apply cost benchmarks, financial analysis, and risk‑management techniques to solve complex sourcing issues.
• Implement sourcing strategies and preferred‑supplier selections across European sites.
• Generate regular spend reports for the category lead.
• Drive Supplier Relationship Management and monitor key supplier performance.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of category‑management experience in a multinational environment.
• Proven people, stakeholder and project‑management experience.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Experience with contracting (MSAs, Statements of Work, Amendments, NDAs).
• Understanding of procurement processes, supply markets, pricing models and contract terms.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, matrixed organization and manage multiple parallel sourcing initiatives.
• Familiarity with MRP, JDE, SAP and Microsoft Office is desirable.
