Production Manager – Medical Device Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Manager will report directly to the Head of Operations and serve as a key member of the management team in a medical device manufacturing facility. You will lead multiple manufacturing teams to meet production schedules, ensure product quality, and uphold safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage department supervisors and support staff to deliver best‑in‑class safety, quality, and production results.
• Collaborate with other manufacturing operations managers and customers to meet quality commitments.
• Ensure on‑time delivery of products while meeting quality, yield, cost, and efficiency targets.
• Drive OPEX initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem‑solving methodologies to improve throughput and reduce waste.
• Work with maintenance teams to identify and resolve potential equipment issues.
• Manage inter‑departmental relationships and optimise resource allocation.
• Lead, inspire, and develop the team to foster continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement a manufacturing budget aligned with the plant’s strategic plan.

Required profile

• 3rd‑level qualification (e.g., bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
• Leadership and people‑management experience in a GMP‑regulated facility.
• Proven experience leading OPEX, Lean, or continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Financial and budget reporting experience.
• Ability to apply structured OPEX tools such as DMAIC, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping.
