Production Operator – GMP Manufacturing (11‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are seeking Production Operators to join a leading global pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Carlow. The position is based in a highly regulated GMP environment, supporting the production of life‑changing medicines using cutting‑edge technology and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production processes and equipment via MES, DCS and PLC systems.
• Support manufacturing activities across sterilisation, washing and filling equipment.
• Perform cleanroom cleaning, housekeeping and materials management.
• Manage equipment flow, inventory, labelling and sterile equipment tracking using automated systems.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance where qualified.
• Follow GMP procedures and ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in investigations, root‑cause analysis, change controls and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support Lean and Kaizen activities to improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) required; apprenticeship, certificate, diploma or relevant technical qualification preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food production or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
