Production Operator

About the role

Join Surmodics’ production team in Ballinasloe and help deliver high‑quality medical devices and diagnostic solutions. You will rotate through various assembly stations, ensuring finished products meet strict quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Meet production output targets for both quality and quantity.
• Follow written work instructions and complete all required paperwork in line with GMP and GDP standards.
• Rotate between tasks, set up equipment, and operate test equipment on the line.
• Inspect products at each workstation, identify defects, and remove non‑conforming items.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and participate in improvement activities.

Required profile

• Completed Leaving Certificate or equivalent secondary education qualification.
• Ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self‑starting attitude.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
• Knowledge of GDP (Good Distribution Practice) standards.
