Production Operator – PCB Assembly

About the role

Moog Ireland Ltd. is seeking a Production Operator to join its Carrigaline facility. The role involves assembling printed circuit boards and related electronic components in a high‑reliability environment, supporting both prototype and series production under engineering control.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assembly, PCB cleaning and baking equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Prepare components for manual assembly and apply adhesives or conformal coatings as required.
• Use torque tools to assemble fasteners according to specifications.
• Perform manual PCB and mechanical hardware assembly following SOPs, drawings and process procedures.
• Set up equipment, carry out process measurements and conduct routine machine maintenance.
• Inspect and rework PCBs and components based on established criteria.
• Complete production documentation and transact work orders in the ERP system.
• Observe anti‑static, safety, housekeeping and personal tool‑maintenance requirements.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in electronic or mechanical assembly.
• Strong commitment to quality and production targets.
• Detail‑oriented with good problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective time‑management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under engineering supervision and follow documented procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of PCB cleaning and baking equipment.
• Use of torque tools for precise fastener assembly.
• Knowledge of IPC7711, IPC7721 and IPC J‑Standard specifications.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for work‑order processing.
