Maintenance Electrician

About the role
Our client, a leading food manufacturing company in West Cork, is looking for a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join their engineering team. This permanent position offers a secure, long‑term career in a modern production environment with flexible shift options.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime.
- Maintain motors, sensors, control panels, drives and automated machinery.
- Support machinery installations, upgrades and continuous‑improvement projects.
- Complete maintenance records and assist with spare‑parts management.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements.
Required profile
- Qualified electrician with recognised trade certification.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering or food‑production environments.
- Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
