Production Operator – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (Carlow)

About the role

Join a leading global pharmaceutical company as a Production Operator in Carlow. You will be part of the IPT team, carrying out production and operations tasks to ensure reliable supply of sterile products while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production activities using MES, DCS and PLC‑based systems.
• Perform room cleaning, housekeeping and materials management across all production areas.
• Manage equipment flow, track hold times, label and maintain inventory of clean and sterile equipment using Kanban and automated MES systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair process equipment where qualified.
• Contribute to writing, revising and rolling out operational procedures and training materials.
• Ensure adherence to global policies, cGMP and relevant regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent; apprenticeship, certificate or diploma in a related discipline preferred.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a GMP setting.
• Familiarity with sterile filling processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of Irish, European and International regulatory/code requirements.
• Strong report, standards and policy writing abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and job‑related computer applications.
