Production Supervisor – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

ProAmpac is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a safe, team‑oriented environment on the shop floor. The role focuses on achieving key metrics such as people development, product quality, yield and volume while upholding the company’s core values.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce health & safety procedures, including proper PPE use and housekeeping standards.
• Accurately record and report incidents, accidents, and daily shift performance using the required systems.
• Manage direct reports to meet area and shift targets, analysing variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Foster teamwork and participation among staff and support groups.
• Oversee performance, training, and development plans for the team.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on employee‑relations matters and ensure compliance with site and legislative requirements.
• Maintain the time‑and‑attendance system, ensuring accurate records of attendance, holidays and absences.
• Identify and report business concerns that could impact departmental or site objectives.
• Prepare and distribute daily shift reports highlighting performance versus targets.

Required profile

• Strong health & safety awareness with a commitment to a safe workplace.
• Demonstrated ability to keep accurate records and complete documentation promptly.
• Experience managing a production team to achieve operational metrics.
• Ability to analyse performance data and drive continuous improvement.
• Effective communication skills for liaison with HR and other stakeholders.
