Project Accountant – FP&A Team

About the role

Join a leading and growing organisation as a Project Accountant within its expanding Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This newly created role offers the chance to influence strategic decisions, support major business projects and drive commercial performance across a diverse operation.

Key responsibilities

• Support strategic and operational projects across the business.
• Deliver financial modelling, scenario analysis and investment appraisals.
• Prepare business cases for new growth opportunities and capital investments.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning activities.
• Monitor project performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Analyse profitability, margins, stock performance and operational KPIs.
• Provide variance analysis and commentary.
• Support post‑investment reviews and project evaluations.
• Develop management reporting, dashboards and FP&A processes.
• Identify cost‑saving and process‑improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to business transformation, integration and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or finalist level).
• Previous experience in FP&A, project accounting, commercial finance, management accounting or financial analysis.
• Strong commercial awareness and business partnering skills.
• Ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience handling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills
