Project Delivery Engineer

About the role

The Projects Delivery Engineer will support and manage a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater treatment design projects, ranging from greenfield to brownfield, and will contribute to pre‑construction and proposal activities. Reporting to senior project managers, the role involves delivering critical projects valued up to €40 million for Ireland's largest WWTP facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Produce documentation such as reports, drawings, calculations, specifications, and tender packages.
• Develop project budgets and detailed, resource‑loaded work programmes.
• Coordinate with PSCS, PSDP, clients, operations, and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical advice, support bid preparation, and manage selected projects.
• Supervise and manage contractors, respond to client information requests, and review RAMS.
• Identify operational interfaces, plan and execute operation‑dependent tasks, and support maintenance through SLA and contractor management.
• Prioritise capital maintenance projects based on equipment condition and criticality.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of project planning, monitoring, and control techniques.
• Ability to risk‑assess equipment and criticality.
• Experience in design from feasibility through to “for construction” level.
• Comprehensive technical understanding of design impacts on budget and schedule.
• PRINCE2 or PMP qualification, or experience working within a PRINCE2/PMP structured project.
