Project Engineer – Commercial Heat Pump Projects

About the role

Pure Renewables Commercial Ireland is seeking a Project Engineer to support the development and delivery of commercial and industrial heat‑pump projects. You will work closely with the sales engineering team, project managers and operations to design, evaluate and oversee installations that help large energy users reduce their carbon footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual project layouts using CAD software and optimise them for maximum value.
• Analyse data to assess resource requirements, estimate annual energy production and build high‑level energy models.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate suitability, support stakeholder meetings and ensure post‑sale works match the approved design.
• Assist in the preparation of sales proposals and interface with Project Management, Engineering and Operations teams.
• Maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System and adhere to OH&S and environmental reporting requirements.

Required profile

• BSc in Engineering or a related discipline (minimum 2:1).
• Proven experience on large‑scale construction projects, preferably in the renewable sector.
• Strong analytical ability to gather information and draw conclusions independently.
• Excellent communication, honesty and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Ireland and occasionally to the UK and Europe.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Energy modelling and data analysis.
• Project layout design and optimisation.
