Project Manager – Construction (Cork, Ireland)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects for a well‑established Irish construction firm. Based in Cork, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring health, safety, quality and commercial targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and execute the complete scope of construction projects.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
• Allocate resources and monitor schedules to keep projects on track.
• Maintain quality control throughout each project’s lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and BC(A)R regulations.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and internal teams.
• Report progress using project management software and update senior management on key milestones.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in a construction‑related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a project management role within construction.
• Engineering background is desirable.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Proven capability to lead teams, assess project value and risks, and multitask.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software.
• Good knowledge of construction materials and processes.
