Project Manager – Water Projects

About the role
Mace is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead water‑related projects across the UK. You will work on a variety of initiatives covering wastewater, potable water, drainage and broader water infrastructure, delivering projects from brief to completion.
Key responsibilities
- Support delivery of project plans from inception through to handover.
- Coordinate design, procurement and technical services.
- Monitor programme schedules, budgets, risks and documentation.
- Ensure quality systems align with Mace’s standards.
- Engage stakeholders and lead project activities.
- Manage consultants, contractors and internal resources.
- Apply safety and net‑zero principles throughout the project lifecycle.
- Update plans and records to reflect project changes.
Required profile
- Degree‑qualified with experience in construction, engineering or project management.
- Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE) or equivalent development.
- Strong stakeholder, commercial and leadership capability.
- Experience in water, utilities or civil infrastructure with an understanding of sustainability and carbon impacts.
