Python Developer – Hybrid, Dublin

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join a fast‑growing technology team in Dublin. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while delivering high‑quality, scalable backend solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust Python applications and backend services.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and micro‑services using frameworks such as FastAPI, Django or Flask.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle – from design and coding to testing, deployment and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues in production and development environments.
• Design scalable architectures, integrate third‑party APIs and optimise database performance.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to deploy and support applications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers and fellow developers in Agile ceremonies.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation and CI/CD pipeline enhancements.

Required profile

• 3+ years of commercial experience developing applications with Python.
• Strong grasp of object‑oriented programming and Python best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask) and building RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server.
• Proficiency with Git, Linux development environments and unit/automated testing.
• Experience working in Agile software development teams.
