Quality Manager

About the role

An Irish manufacturer is seeking a Quality Manager for its production facility in Drogheda. The role leads all quality and laboratory operations on site, offering long‑term career progression within a global organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site laboratory team.
• Ensure all product sampling, testing and reporting is completed to the highest standard.
• Maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Ensure products comply with relevant Irish and European standards.
• Manage laboratory equipment calibration, servicing and maintenance.
• Support production through quality analysis and process troubleshooting.
• Manage outsourced laboratory testing and laboratory consumables.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in a Quality or Laboratory Management role within manufacturing.
• Previous people‑management experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience with XRF/XRD analytical techniques is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
