Receptionist

About the role

Dawn Meats, one of Europe's leading beef and lamb processing companies with locations across Ireland, the UK, France and continental Europe, is recruiting a receptionist for its Charleville site in County Cork. The receptionist is the first point of contact for customers, clients and colleagues entering the offices, so must be courteous and focused on a consistently high standard of customer service.

The position reports to the Operations Manager and is full-time and permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and greet visitors to the office
• Issue security badges and ensure all visit paperwork is completed
• Answer incoming calls professionally on a busy switchboard, take messages and email relevant people promptly
• Provide telephone cover for other sites when required
• Coordinate meeting room bookings via a computerised system, including catering and equipment needs
• Order catering supplies, cleaning supplies and stationery
• Sort, distribute and coordinate incoming and outgoing post and couriers
• Receive, sort and distribute emails
• Assist with travel arrangements for group and site employees, including flights, trains and car hire
• Provide administration support to various departments

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills
• Prioritises work using time management and organisational skills
• Good administration skills, able to work both as part of a team and independently on day-to-day tasks
• Punctual and flexible
