Regional Tax Analyst

About the role

The Regional Tax Analyst supports Group-wide tax reporting, compliance and risk management across multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with Group Finance, local markets, auditors and external advisers, the role ensures accurate tax positions, disclosures and effective tax rate forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate interim and year‑end Group tax reporting in collaboration with finance teams, auditors and external advisers.
• Build relationships with finance and business stakeholders to ensure smooth tax reporting cycles.
• Represent Group Tax in reporting matters and partner with the Group Financial Reporting team.
• Support Effective Tax Rate (ETR) forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Review and prepare statutory tax disclosures and notes to the financial statements.
• Design and operate tax accounting controls within internal control frameworks.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, including tax provision workpapers, deferred tax schedules and uncertain tax position analyses.
• Contribute to the Tax Control Framework documentation and testing.
• Lead technical tax accounting for Group Reporting and maintain IAS 12 knowledge.
• Track regional tax audits, disputes and exposures, and ensure audit outcomes are reflected in tax reporting.
• Act as regional liaison between local markets and Group Tax, ensuring consistent application of policies.
• Support process improvements, standardisation, automation and data quality enhancements, working with Finance and IT on ERP and SAP tools.
• Prepare tax reporting packs, dashboards and management presentations.
• Assist the Head of Tax with ad‑hoc projects and queries.
