Registrar in Rheumatology – Immediate Start

About the role

The Cork University Hospital Group is seeking a Rheumatology Registrar who can start immediately. This role is based in Cork, Ireland, within a leading Model 4 teaching hospital that provides acute surgical and medical specialties on a single campus.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with rheumatologic conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to patient care plans and clinical decision‑making.
• Supervise and teach junior doctors and medical students as part of the hospital’s academic mission.
• Engage in clinical research and quality‑improvement projects aligned with the hospital’s research agenda.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the hospital’s electronic health record system.

Required profile

• Medical degree and full registration with the Irish Medical Council.
• Completion of core medical training and eligibility for specialist training in rheumatology.
• Ability to commence employment immediately.
• Strong commitment to patient‑centred care and continuous professional development.
