Sales Assistant – Retail (Part-time)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and motivated Sales Assistant to join our JYSK store in Sligo. In this part-time role you will help deliver Ireland’s best customer service, keep the shop tidy and support the team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, understand their needs and provide product advice with a smile.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and ensure merchandise is displayed correctly.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking and shelving deliveries both in the store and warehouse areas.
• Take ownership of a designated area within the store, ensuring it meets visual and inventory standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

Required profile

• Outgoing, enthusiastic and enjoys interacting with customers.
• Team-player who is willing to go the extra mile to meet goals.
• Flexible with tasks and working hours, including weekends.
• Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting and moving stock.

Required skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Basic numeracy for handling transactions.
