SAP Human Resources Payroll Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Human Resources and Payroll Functional Consultant to join our IT Service Delivery team. You will own the SAP HR and Payroll landscape, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and strategic projects for our UK and Irish payroll environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide subject‑matter expertise and end‑user support for SAP S/4Hana, SAP Cloud, UK & Irish Payroll, SAP Concur and SAP SuccessFactors.
• Investigate and resolve support tickets raised by business users.
• Participate in internal SAP projects, change requests and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to specify, design, test and implement enhancements.
• Transfer knowledge to team members and work closely with Team Leads, Delivery Leads, Functional SMEs and Solution Architects.
• Manage change‑request scoping, estimation, functional specification and system configuration.

Required profile

• Hands‑on functional experience with SAP ERP/S/4Hana or SAP Cloud, covering configuration, specification and testing.
• Proven ability to gather business requirements and design effective solutions.
• Strong documentation skills to meet audit and transition requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Irish and/or UK payroll processes.
• Familiarity with standard SAP testing practices; experience with HP Quality Centre is a plus.
