SAP Senior Systems Configurator

About the role

General Motors' Software Services team is looking for a Senior Systems Configurator (SAP Functional Analyst) to design, configure and support SAP solutions across Source-to-Deliver, Make-to-Shipment and Order-to-Delivery. The role works with Product Lifecycle Management, Global Purchasing & Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics and Order Management teams, and is hybrid, reporting to Limerick at least three times per week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SAP configuration and solution design for Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Production Planning & Execution and related workflows
• Support sourcing, procurement, supplier management, production planning, logistics, inventory control, warehouse management and goods movement
• Take part in testing, validation and deployment of SAP enhancements, and integrate SAP with external systems
• Help evaluate and rationalise the application landscape toward S/4HANA and SaaS solutions, and take part in upgrades, migrations and digital transformation
• Use standard SAP functionality and RICEFW objects, and contribute to application management and production support
• Create process documentation, configuration guides and training materials, and mentor junior team members

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Several years of hands-on SAP experience configuring one or more modules
• Strong business process knowledge in order management, pricing, billing, supply chain, purchasing, production planning and master data
• Analytical, problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement

Required skills

• SAP modules: SD, FI-CO, MM, WM, EWM, PP, DMe/DMC, Ariba, S/4HANA
• Interface technologies such as IDocs, APIs and middleware
• Testing, automation and debugging, preferably with some ABAP knowledge
• Preferred: SAP certifications, SAP Automotive Suite, SAP Integrated Tool Chain (Signavio, CALM, Tosca), Fiori, BTP, EDI and integration platforms
