Sea Freight Forwarder

About the role

As a Sea Freight Forwarder you will coordinate ocean shipments, ensuring smooth end‑to‑end transportation while delivering first‑class customer service. You will act as the link between customers, carriers, agents and internal teams to meet service level agreements and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and provide high‑quality service.
• Plan, arrange, monitor and control sea freight shipments, preparing all operational and administrative documentation.
• Handle immediate non‑conformities to assure product safety and customer satisfaction.
• Receive bookings from clients or agents and make bookings with carriers.
• Operate the company’s IT systems, including CargoWise.
• Generate sales invoices promptly and process costs, accruals and purchase invoices.
• Prepare customs clearance documentation and manage pricing RFQs and quotations.
• Respond to general inquiries, ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and company standards, and execute dangerous‑goods shipments where applicable.
• Provide holiday/absence cover and perform general administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in sea freight forwarding.
• Good Distribution Practice (GDP) training and experience.
• Customs clearance training and experience.
• Dangerous goods training and experience.
• Completed training in freight forwarding, logistics or supply‑chain management.
• Fluent oral and written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CargoWise software.
