Security Systems Service Engineer / Technician

About the role

Convergint, a global service‑based systems integrator, is looking for a reliable, customer‑focused Security Systems Service Engineer / Technician to join its Dublin service team. This field‑based position involves maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a full suite of electronic security solutions for a variety of enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver reactive and planned service support across Dublin and surrounding areas.
• Perform fault finding, maintenance and repairs on Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and support minor works, system upgrades and enhancements.
• Conduct testing, verification and commissioning as required.
• Complete accurate service reports, documentation and job records.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
• Escalate complex or critical issues to Service Management.
• Participate in a rotational 24/7 on‑call roster for emergency situations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electronic security industry supporting enterprise‑grade systems.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative service team.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Full clean Irish driving licence.

Required skills

• IP CCTV and VMS platforms (Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis).
• Electronic security systems (HKC, Galaxy, Vanderbilt).
• Enterprise‑level access control systems (Lenel, CCure, Honeywell, Genetec).
• System integration and fault diagnosis.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
