Senior Accountant – Tax & Financial Reporting

About the role

Red Oak North is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Ireland Finance team. You will be responsible for tax compliance and statutory financial reporting across multiple manufacturing and commercial entities in Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements under US GAAP and Irish GAAP, supporting month‑end and quarter‑end close.
• Analyse balance‑sheet accounts, ensuring audit‑ready documentation for accruals, benefits and tax.
• Coordinate statutory and group audits, maintain audit documentation and respond to auditor queries.
• Prepare Irish corporation tax, VAT, EU Sales, Intrastat and RCT filings, meeting all Revenue deadlines.
• Maintain Transfer Pricing documentation, including Local Files and Descriptive Reports, and liaise with external advisors.
• Monitor changes in Irish tax legislation and provide technical tax advice on VAT, R&D credits, capital allowances and intercompany transactions.
• Support finance leadership with process improvements, policy development and system implementations.
• Collaborate with the wider Ireland Finance team, site controllers and external advisors.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, AITI or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 2–4 years of experience in tax compliance, statutory reporting and audit coordination.
• Strong knowledge of Irish corporation tax, VAT and Transfer Pricing regulations.
