Senior Android Developer (Dublin)

About the role

Expleo is looking for a Senior Android Developer to lead the design and delivery of secure, high‑performance Android applications as part of a broader modernisation programme. You will collaborate with QA, product and programme teams to build scalable, maintainable solutions while shaping technical direction and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Android applications using Java and Kotlin, following modern architectural patterns.
• Integrate apps with external services, SDKs and device capabilities such as secure storage and networking.
• Apply secure coding practices and support quality assurance through unit and integration testing.
• Migrate and refactor legacy codebases to modular, component‑based architectures.
• Analyse and optimise performance, memory usage and startup times; implement logging and monitoring.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated builds and test execution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering complex, business‑critical Android applications.
• Strong client‑facing and people‑management skills, with a focus on knowledge sharing and mentoring.
• Excellent teamwork, emotional intelligence and self‑management abilities.
