Senior Android Payments Developer (Remote, Ireland)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Android Payments Developer to lead the creation of card‑acceptance applications on point‑of‑sale (POS) devices. The role is part of a legacy modernisation programme and will be performed remotely from Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, secure Android software for payment terminals, including PAX devices.
• Lead development of card‑acceptance applications on POS devices.
• Collaborate closely with QA, product and programme teams to ensure high‑quality releases.
• Drive payment certification processes with major card schemes.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in Android development for payment or POS solutions.
• Strong understanding of security requirements for payment applications.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
